Fred T. Fincher, Sr.

Fred T. Fincher, Sr., businessman and veteran of World War II and Korea, is a native and life-long resident of LaGrange. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1945 to 1953, honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Fincher is a well known businessman in the LaGrange/Troup County community. He owned and operated both the Vernon Street Billiard Parlor and the Fincher (Uniroyal Distributorship) Tire Company for some 18 years. He also managed the Pepsi Cola Distributorship of Troup County and worked for the LaGrange Daily News in Advertising/Sales for some 10 years.

Fincher is an active life-member of American Legion Post 75. Along with serving as post commander, he has also served as a state district commander. He is also a life-member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans.

Fincher is past president of the LaGrange Optimist Club and the LaGrange Shriners Club.
